Print Ad Study

I decided to mock up a concept of menswear ads for the clothing company, Buck Mason. Being inspired by vintage illustrated clothing advertisements from the 1950s and 1960s, and Buck Mason’s stripped down americana sensibilities, I got to work creating a minimalist full-page advertisement that featured hand drawn/painted illustrations incorporating real product photos. The product is represented accurately but the model is abstracted by minimal brush strokes so as to not distract from the main subject. I think the end result gives the products more of a hand-crafted and authentic feeling.
